'The Hive' Wrap Around Care - Term-time and holiday provision

It will be switched on between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.30 pm whilst holiday club is open.

Although we will aim to make the days and activities as fun and exciting as possible, the primary objective of the club is to offer childcare while parents and carers are at work. If you feel that you would like to use this service, complete the attached form and sign the parental agreement. Places will be limited so please return the form to us quickly to make a provisional booking. You can post at the secure box just inside the main school entrance, send them into school via your child or you can scan and email the form. The booking form is also available to download from the school website www.heronhill.cumbria.sch.uk.

The cost is £32.00 for a full day for all children. If your child is only attending the morning or afternoon session the cost is £16.00 for all children. The club will be based in the Nursery building which is where you will drop off and collect your child at any time between 8.00 am and 5.30 pm within the hours of your booked sessions. We will provide breakfast (toast/cereal) and snacks but all children will require a packed lunch. More details regarding the available dates and the session times are contained within the attached form, in addition to other important information on the parental agreement.

The school provides wrap around provision for all year groups both before and after school during term time. 'The Hive' children are cared for in the nursery building.
Before School Club: parents can choose to drop off at any time from 7:30 am (with breakfast); children dropped off from ​8.00 am will be charged at a reduced rate (no breakfast included but can be added at an additional cost).
After School Club: children can be collected at any time up to the close of the session at 6.00 pm (includes an afternoon snack served around 4.30 pm). Children collected by 4.00 pm will be charged a reduced rate.

Before and After School Provision

Throughout the year we provide opportunities for our children (and parents) to take part in a great deal of after school activities. These include sporting festivals and competitions, fairs and discos, performances and musical events.
